Can the stepping stones be outside all year?
Yes, they can be left outside in any climate. Our customers are nationwide and all report excellent durability in all climates and seasons.
Will the designs fade or rub off?
NO - the glass is permanently stained just like the windows of a church.
Can you actually walk on them?
YES - we recommend that steppers do not wear cleats or golf spikes on the stones. We also recommend sweeping or hosing them off periodically if used in a walkway. The glass in the stones can scratch if gravel or sand is left on them and walked on.
Should a concrete sealer be used on them?
No - the stones are ready for use from the date of purchase.
No - when the concrete dries, it cures directly to the glass and holds the glass in place.

How are they able to endure weather and wear?
Each piece of glass is 1/8" thick and is set into the concrete while it's curing, to provide a strong fit. The stones are made with specially formulated and reinforced mortar, which is stronger than your typical walking stone.
Lyons Red Flagstone is world reknown because it is one of the strongest red rock available. The silica and sand consistency is what petrifies it to an incredibly durable compound. Unlike stone from other parts of the country, this red flagstone maintains its integrity and strength in all types of climates.
Most flagstone furniture is shipped by ground freight directly to your home. Please allow 2-3 weeks for ths completion of your pieces before it can be shipped out. You will receive and e-mail to make you aware of the expected delivery date.

Is your site secure for me to send my credit card information?
For your comfort and safety, Bergen Designs uses secure server technology. This means you can enter your personal and credit card information directly online with us, and that information will be immediately encrypted to assure maximum security of all data. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Is there any sales tax incurred with a purchase?
Unless you live in Colorado, there is no sales tax charged to your order by Bergen Designs. However, customers should inquire about their own states' use tax requirements and pay these when applicable. For those customers who live in Colorado, orders will be charged the appropriate sales tax rate for your delivery area.
At Bergen Designs, we want to make sure you are completely satisfied with your order. If you are not 100% satisfied with your item, you have 30 days from the date we shipped it to return it to us. Just call us at 303-823-6913 or e-mail us at Customer Service and we'll arrange for the item to be picked up by UPS. We ask that you cover the shipping for any returns. Your credit card will be credited for the cost of the item once it is back in our shop.
